Discover The Garden’s Beautiful History
Our journey began in the summer of 2020 with the unexpected meeting of two souls searching for purpose, happiness, and love. Mike was visiting family in Key West after moving to Miami for a job, and I found myself (unexpectedly) living on a boat off of the island when my office switched to remote work. The tropical paradise, as many times throughout its colorful history, worked its magic and brought us together.
Mike, wanting to establish roots in one place after spending a decade in the Army, found the perfect 5-acre property in the Redlands to call home. I, a sucker for adventure, took the plunge to join him in Miami, giving up my apartment in NYC to “see how it would go.” Clearly it went well. And after years of hustle
and bustle between demanding jobs and cities that do not sleep, we both found ourselves waking up each morning at peace, enjoying the quiet natural beauty our new home and surrounding environment had to offer.
Once we settled into our new pace of life, we decided to transform what was previously a horse pasture into an outdoor garden venue. The overgrown trees, surrounding woods, and rustic stables lend themselves as a picturesque backdrop for intimate gatherings and special celebrations. We could not be more excited to open our gates to others, hoping that anyone else who finds themselves in our gardens experiences the joy and contentment we feel.

Here’s our reminder to ENJOY the process of planning a wedding (or event)! 💍
Yes, there will be moments of stress, overwhelm, and even disappointment along the way of planning a large-scale event, but here are some tips for enjoying the season of planning when stress takes hold 🙌:
1) Practice gratitude by journaling or meditating. First and foremost, a wedding is the celebration of your marriage. Focus on the life you’re building with the one you love, and the other details won’t seem to be quite as overwhelmingly important anymore. 🩷
2) Keep track of your finances. Finances can be the number one stress in planning a wedding AND in a relationship. Comparing vendor quotes, asking for ALL the fees upfront so there are no bad surprises, and keeping track of those expenses will set you up for success. ✅
3) Trust your vendors. If you’re confident in the team you’ve assembled, then let them do their thing without stressing every minute detail. If you feel a vendor is falling short of expectations, don’t be afraid to have an open conversation with them. 💭
4) Build self-care into your schedule. Just because you’re planning a wedding (and running your normal life), doesn’t mean you should sacrifice the healthy things that make you happy, like exercising, cooking, getting massages, or whatever else makes you feel whole. 💆♀️

Here’s my attempt to give you my okay-ish quality nighttime videos (another reason to hire the professional videographer - you get better quality 😁).
From day to night, the space really transforms and “whimsical” is the word we hear most often. ☺️✨
